  1. Man was mentally off balanced, which forced him to take in a lot of exercise to bring things into relative evenness.
We benefitted extremely with parks and new respect for the frontier.
He even took up my great-great-great-grandfather’s cause back in the day. Though scattered and overbooked with many irons in the fire, he did much to try and help develop our country and government.

  2. He was a genius, spoke five languages. The book “how five women created a president” is a great read. His decisions on the Panama Canal and the Philippines were correct. He gave his cousin Eleanor Roosevelt away at her wedding in NYC. Problem was most came to see the President and not Eleanor and FDR.

  3. The Guy invited Booker t Washington to the White House and said “I will dine with who I please…. THAT took some guts back then

  4. You going to say what you want to say about Teddy he wasn’t a racist as our current administration he was a president for all Americans he truly loved his country and he did what he thought was right for the country not for his personal interest not first personal wealth but for the good and the betterment of America !!!!

  5. His administration began American imperialism; invaded the Philippines causing massacres of indigenous resistance. Read Mark Twain’s essays of rejection of all such actions.

  6. He was a good man with some bad ideas who started the unconstitutional march to the regulatory state.

  7. My understanding is that it was a mixed bag. Two things he did that I’m grateful for.
    1. He did work to rein in corporate excesses and to try to level the economic landscape.
    2. The National Park system.

  8. There has never been a perfect presidency. (Well, Washington likely came close.) On the other hand, we are now enduring the worst imaginable presidency in Trump. He makes Andrew Johnson and Warren Harding look like Boy Scouts. He makes me long for the happy days of Richard Nixon. Oh, the nostalgia I am feeling.

  9. He and Eisenhower are the only two Republican presidents who cared about the country not like these sorry ones!
